Travel geography

Manchurian deer is a subspecies of red deer. Adult males can have the following dimensions: body length 200-230 cм, height at shoulders 250-265см, weight up to 250 kg. Females significantly less than males. The horns have a length of about 85cm in span 80-82cm. There is a 10-14 branches up to 30cm each. The head is covered with short gray wool. The body is painted in reddish-brown color. The feet are brown. In winter the color of the skin changes and becomes silvery gray.


Elk is one of the most common land animals are near the lake. They weigh about

400 kilograms, and their growth is 2.5 meters. The elk males grow very large and powerful horns. They eat grass in the summer time and in winter they produce roots and shoots.


ROE deer is one of the most beautiful and graceful animals. This small deer with short trunk, a little resembling a goat. In summer ROE deer golden-red colour, and in winter their coat changes to grey. The ROE deer blunt snout and quite short tail. Under the tail light wool. Sensing danger, the deer high tail turn up, a white spot is clearly seen running to the rear. Hunters call this spot "the white mirror"

    Day 1

    1. Arrival to Irkutsk airport, where you will meet the guide and accompanying forest workers;


    2. Transfer by private comfortable off-road car to the habitats of deer on the shores of lake Baikal;


    3. A brief tour to the deer places of upcoming fotohunting;


    4. Placement. Lunch. Instruction about safety. Bath (Banya) on the shore of a mountain river. Dinner. The rest of the evening will be spent in the warm company around the campfire.



    We'll be located in the forest hut that is the floor comfortable house with electricity, gas and wood heating. The toilet is outside. Beds with clean sheets. Next there is a bathhouse (banya) on the shore of the taiga stream. It accommodates up to 5 people. Possible additional accommodation in tents.


    The staff lives in a separate house.

    Day 2

    1. After Breakfast at the base, on off-road vehicle we'll go to yesterday visited deer places. There we will feed them with mineral mixture (which the deer come to feed) for the upcoming photohunt;


    2. Transfer by off-road vehicle, mountain river picnic and fishing on it. There we will be able to eat kebabs of wild meat, hunting of the taiga berries and catch fish on the taiga river.


    3. Return to base, dinner, campfire and free time.

    Day 3

    1. Breakfast on the base;


    2. Together with guides go to collect fragrant Baikal herbs for traditional hunters bath (fito banya). In it they went before the hunt to absorb the smells of the taiga and go unnoticed for deer;


    3. Visit fito bath (fito banya) before the photoshoot;


    4. Lunch;


    5. Transfer by private car to places for photo-hunting. In silence there we'll be waiting for reindeer, which at first gently, will come out of the woods, listening and sniffing in search of intruders. But convinced of the safety they will allow us to make stunning photos;


    6. Return to base. Dinner around the campfire. Free time, rest.

    Day 4

    1. After Breakfast, for you the choice we can go fishing on the taiga river or free walking photo hunting (squirrels, chipmunks, grouse and other inhabitants of the Baikal taiga).


    2. Lunch at the base, or a picnic on the route of hunting or fishing;


    3. Evening - repeat photo-hunting for deer or bear viewing (in advance).


    4. Return to camp, dinner around the campfire. Rest.

    Day 5

    1. Breakfast, transfer by the individual cars in Irkutsk, in the airport or in the hotel (individually with each group).
